We can’t believe the good weather!

We only got 10+ cm of new snow this past week, but that leaves us with about 3.3 m of snow at the Eaglecrest snow study site. And then the sun came out. (We are still in the top 20 ski resorts in the world in terms of snow depth! At number 20 as I write..) It doesn’t get any better than this:

A little ways down the slope I took a second pano.

If you want an even bigger size (only 3 MB) and higher resolution pano/quicktime you can navigate, try this one.

Another Perfect Juneautopia Weekend

Another sunny, fantastic weekend in Juneautopia. Saturday downhill skiing at Eaglecrest, Sunday, a fantastic “hosted” cross country ski and Mendenhall Lake/Campground/Glacier (hot soup and coffee/tea by Franz and Susan–thanks!). Juneautopia at its finest!

Carrie was busy working at the Juneau Artists Gallery on Saturday, so didn’t get to come head up Eaglecrest. But she made up for it with fun skiing on Sunday. Here’s a few more photos from the fun:
