Catching up, yesterday, October 7, there was 1 male and 2 female featured obituaries in the New York Times.  October 6, there was 2 male and 1 female featured obituaries.  October 5, there was 2 male and 2 female feature obituaries.  Since I started tracking it here, that is 273 males featured and 136 females featured. #IfYouSeeSomethingSaySomething<\/p>\n<p>(I started tracking the obits here on May 14 02017, but I\u2019ve missed days when on travel. On travel, some of my stats are from the DC and Seattle versions of the NYT \u2013 I don\u2019t know if the obits published vary by region.)<\/p>\n<p>** WHAT?!?!?  Montserrat Caballe (a Spanish Diva) was a featured obituary on both Sunday, October 7 and again on Monday, October 8.  The header changed very marginally (I think for spacing) and at my quick review, the obit itself was exactly the same.  Why?? Why was it featured two days in a row?
